Leave of Absence and Withdrawal

If, for some reason, you decide not to take the course you have registered for, you must inform teacher and the course administrator in writing (email is acceptable). Within three weeks after the course has started the registration can be cancelled. After three weeks a student may request that we register a course as incomplete.

If you are registered for a program and wish to take a leave of absence, you need to notify the program coordinator as well as the course administrator of your desire to continue your studies at a later date. If you fail to do so, you may not be allowed to resume your studies. There is a special form for requesting of leave of absence (one or two semesters at a time) available outside the Departmental Office. Resuming studies after a leave of absence is done at the regular registration meeting for each course or program. If you have been granted a leave of absence you retain your place on the course or the program.

If you are registered for a program and wish to withdraw from the program, you need to notify the course teacher as well as the course administrator. There is a special form available outside the Departmental Office.
