The net-based course will be taught in both Swedish and English. The campus course will be taught only in Swedish. The net-based courses spring term 2020 will be given if resources are available.
About the course:
The course offers an introduction to the oldest political history, cultural history, and archaeology of the ancient Near East, primarily covering the time between circa 3000 BC and 300 BC. The eight lessons provide a broad overview of historical epochs, significant persons and events, and archaeological find spots in the ancient Near East. Special focus is put on the cultures that used cuneiform writing.
